But, along with the hyper-targeting and sharing capabilities of social tools comes the complexities of crafting a successful strategy and then managing that strategy on a daily basis. This session, which is designed for those who were unable to attend the Tourism Marketing Super Seminar on Wednesday, or who just desire to learn more about the subject, will provide the basics of a successful social marketing plan.

Reaping the Harvest: Success Stories In Agritourism Presented Twice: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM and 3:15 PM - 4:15 PM
In the spring of 2003, the Tennessee Departments of Agriculture, Tourist Development, and Economic and Community Development, University of Tennessee Extension and the Tennessee Farm Bureau federation joined together to establish the Tennessee Agritourism Initiative. This program has achieved great success in building farm income through agritourism and expanding tourism income in rural communities. This seminar will present case studies of successful agritourism initiatives as well as provide practical advice on how it can be made to work in your community.
